Robocon Club : Team Rudra
Team Rudra is the official robotics team of Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Engineering (MMCOE), competing in the prestigious ABU Robocon. Established in 2015, the team made an impactful debut by winning the Rookie Award and has since grown into a dominant force in robotics competitions.
As an interdisciplinary undergraduate team, Team Rudra takes pride in handling every aspect of robotics in-house, including mechanics, electronics, testing, and manufacturing. Over the years, the team has consistently delivered outstanding performances, culminating in an impressive AIR 5 ranking in the last season, along with multiple awards.With innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence at its core, Team Rudra continues to push boundaries in the world of robotics.
Team Rudra has a wide alumni base of over 250+ passed out members. Graduated team members regularly visit the workshop to interact with the new team. The graduated senior members act as the mentor for the team and also introduce us to the various technologies they are working with in the industry. The Competition of ‘Robocon’ is a grand event, and the students get to witness over 100 different robots with unique ideas and implementations in the event.
Aim
Team Rudra aims to foster innovation, technical excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration by designing, developing, and competing with advanced robotic systems at ABU Robocon and beyond.
Objectives
- Team Rudra aims to provide an all round development opportunity to the students.
- The club follows industry grade manufacturing practices, making the students more industry ready.
- Robotics being a multi disciplinary field students from all departments need to work in unison to develop the robots. Pioneering the development of team spirit and leadership qualities.
- The event of Robocon provides a unique challenge every year & the team needs to develop different robots from scratch to tackle different challenges every year.
- The uniqueness of the event provided students the platform to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
