The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India’s foremost recognized professional body dedicated to advancing the science and technology of Electronics, Telecommunication, and IT. Established in 1953, IETE is the national apex organization for professionals in Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science, and IT. It serves over 125,000 members, including corporate, student, and ISF members, through 63 centres across India and internationally. The institution plays a key role in providing leadership in scientific and technical areas crucial to national development and economic growth. The Government of India has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and has designated it as an educational institution of national significance. IETE’s objectives are centered on promoting electro-technology, and it organizes and supports technical meetings, conferences, symposia, and exhibitions throughout India. Additionally, it publishes technical journals and offers continuing education and career advancement opportunities to its members.
