Our vision is to build a strong, collaborative and outcome-driven research ecosystem that promotes academic excellence, innovation and meaningful societal impact. We are committed to strengthening research capacity through mentoring, faculty and student development, competitive funding, industry–academia collaboration and national and international partnerships. Our focus will be on measurable Research KPIs, quality publications, patents, consultancy, sponsored research, Funded proposals, technology development and translating research into innovation and real-world impact. Together, let us build a culture where research inspires innovation, innovation creates impact, and academic excellence drives institutional growth.

The Research and Development (R&D) Cell of Marathwada Mitramandal’s College of Engineering, Pune focuses on fostering innovation, conducting research, and promoting development activities within the institution. It plays a crucial role in advancing technology, knowledge, and skills in the field of engineering and related disciplines. The primary mission of an R&D cell is to encourage and facilitate research and development activities among faculty members, researchers, and students. Its objectives include advancing knowledge in engineering, addressing real-world challenges, and enhancing the institute’s reputation as a center of innovation and excellence. The R&D cell typically consists of each department’s experienced faculty members who are actively involved in research. The R & D Cell fosters a culture of inquiry, supports researchers and students, and contributes to the advancement of engineering knowledge and technology. Through collaboration with industry and other academic institutions, it helps bridge the gap between academia and the real-world engineering challenges of today and tomorrow.
