Being among the first Computer Engineering students under MMCOE’s autonomous curriculum has been a transformative experience. The industry-focused curriculum, project-based learning, and exposure to research, innovation, and technical activities have strengthened both technical and professional skills, preparing us to become confident industry-ready professionals.

My journey in the Computer Engineering Department at MMCOE has been a valuable learning experience that helped me grow both technically and professionally. When I joined college, I thought autonomy would mainly mean a different examination system. But over time, I realized that its biggest impact has been giving me more opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.
Because our college is autonomous, we get exposure to activities like workshops, hackathons, club events, and industry-oriented learning that complement our academics. As someone interested in AI and technology, I have been able to explore areas that are not limited to the textbook syllabus and gain practical knowledge through projects and hands-on experiences.
I also feel that autonomy has made learning more engaging. Instead of focusing only on final exams, we are encouraged to participate in presentations, assignments, and other activities that help develop skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I am Vedashree Dangat, a student of the Mechanical Engineering Department at MMCOE. One of the biggest advantages of studying in an autonomous institution is its industry-oriented curriculum. Since the college has the flexibility to design and update its syllabus according to current industry requirements, students gain practical and relevant knowledge beyond traditional classroom learning. The emphasis on project-based learning allows us to apply theoretical concepts in real-world situations. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has designed the curriculum to be practical and industry-oriented, providing hands-on experience through machining operations, laboratory experiments, and project-based learning. In every semester, students undertake courses focused on communication skills and professional ethics, which contribute to the development of workplace etiquette, interpersonal skills, and interview preparedness.
