Career After Electrical Engineering Degree

Home » Career After Electrical Engineering Degree

Is Electrical Engineering option becoming an old choice??? No, rather, Electrical Engineers have a versatile career.  The NEP curriculum has opened doors to multidisciplinary courses to be offered to students so Electrical engineering no longer deals with only power and control but also offers courses in renewable energy, automation, artificial intelligence, electric vehicle etc. At MMCOE, Karvenagar Pune which is an autonomous Institute, Electrical Engineering provides the students with extensive hands-on platforms and grooms them to become confident engineers. With traditional power and control system problem statements, students also explore IoT, AI based electrical applications. They are trained in programming through rigorous coding sessions. This opens the doors of software industries, semiconductors, and robotics related options for them. Electrical engineers play a crucial role in the development and implementation of IoT solutions. From designing circuits to optimizing power consumption, their expertise forms the backbone of interconnected smart systems that redefine industries.

Renewable Energy based electives enhance their green energy, power system, energy storage and related software knowledge. Renewable energy has emerged as a cornerstone in the quest for sustainable development and environmental conservation. As the world faces adverse effects of climate change and the depletion of fossil fuels, the importance of renewable energy in engineering is increasing very fast. This field encompasses a variety of technologies designed to harness energy from natural, inexhaustible sources such as the sun, wind, and water. Innovations in renewable energy are not only crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also for ensuring energy security and creating economic opportunities. The electives offered by the program cover various aspects of renewable energy innovations, explore the fundamentals, historical development, applications, advanced topics, challenges, and future prospects.

Another attraction of Electrical Engineering at MMCOE is the multidisciplinary minor offered by the program which is Electric vehicle technology. BMS, vehicle dynamics, power train etc are offered to students where they gain expertise in this recent most popular technology through lectures and state of art EV lab at MMCOE. The facilities available also enable students to design and build EV prototypes (e.g., electric bikes, solar cars, autonomous EVs), Perform testing and analysis on battery efficiency, thermal management, and vehicle performance and Use simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, etc.) to model and optimize EV systems. To keep the students updated with the recent trends in the market and to uplift their technical knowledge, under autonomy a curriculum framed for Electrical Engineering students, also offers extensive coverage.
