Benefits of autonomy include exposure to various events such as hackathons, competitions, seminars, and extracurricular learning sessions. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has designed the curriculum to be practical and industry-oriented, providing hands-on experience through machining operations, laboratory experiments, and project-based learning. In every semester, students undertake courses focused on communication skills and professional ethics, which contribute to the development of workplace etiquette, interpersonal skills, and interview preparedness.
Additionally, each subject incorporates internal assessments such as case studies, presentations, and project or model development, encouraging active learning and critical thinking. The Experiential Learning Laboratory enables students to work on capstone projects, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems. Furthermore, various student clubs and technical societies organized by the college provide opportunities to gain practical exposure, enhance teamwork, and strengthen the understanding of engineering concepts through hands-on activities.
