M.Tech in Design Engineering program aims to develop highly skilled professionals capable of designing, analyzing, and improving complex systems, and products. The course focuses on equipping students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the fields of design, materials, and computational methods. The curriculum is structured to balance both theoretical and hands-on learning, ensuring that students can address real-world challenges in engineering design.

A post graduate of the program will be able to
- Independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.
- Write and present a substantial technical report/document.
- Demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.

A post graduate of the Program will be able to
- Design, develop, model, simulate, and evaluate mechanical components, systems, and processes for complex interdisciplinary applications.
- Create long-term solutions to real-world mechanical engineering issues in the product and process sectors.
- Follow professional rules of behavior, safety standards, industrial engineering, and management concepts when working in the industry or as an entrepreneur.
