M.Tech. in Data Science(DS) is Postgraduate course in the discipline of Information Technology affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. M.Tech – DS course has started in AY 2024-25 Under autonomy . The curriculum is structured to enhance the technical expertise of students while fostering a strong research mindset. Carefully crafted by expert faculty and approved by the Board of Studies AND Academic council. The syllabus is designed to provide students with essential data science skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the job market. The program also supports avenues for research, entrepreneurship, startups, and employability, with a strategic clustering of elective subjects that allows students to specialize in key areas of data science.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.
An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program
